# Overview & Navigation

> Navigate the Business Explorer page and understand the purpose of each of its widgets.

The **Business Explorer** page in SIMCEL provides critical insights into your business performance metrics, financial outcomes, and key drivers. Use this guide to navigate the page and understand what each widget does.

## Navigation

To open the **Business Explorer** page, click the **Biz** icon on the left-hand side of the screen.

## Main widgets on the Business Explorer page

### KPI table

This table summarizes all the performance metrics for the plan.

### P\&L waterfall

This widget displays the different revenues and costs up to the **Constrained Net Sales In** in a waterfall format.

* **Breakdown of components**: Shows the incremental effect of each cost component on the final net income.
* **Visualizing contributions**: Distinguishes between positive contributions (revenues) and negative contributions (costs and expenses) to the overall financial outcome.
* **Performance comparison**: Compares various scenarios, showing where variances occurred.

### Sales & profit evolution

This widget offers a comparative time series analysis of **Constrained Net Sales In** across various scenarios. Use it to track sales and profit trends over time.

### Pivot table

This widget is a dynamic tool for interactively exploring, organizing, filtering, and summarizing KPIs across datasets. It is useful for analyzing large datasets across multiple dimensions, and you can tailor your view by defining rows, columns, and aggregation methods.

### Business drivers

This widget lets you explore the best- and worst-performing segments according to the KPIs you select.

Define the following parameters:

| Parameter                      | Description                                                                       |
| ------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Dimension 1 (x-axis)**       | First group-by dimension, such as product ID, category, or channel.               |
| **Dimension 2 (x-axis)**       | Second group-by dimension for further segmentation.                               |
| **Display**                    | Choose to display the top 10 or bottom 10 values for either KPI 1 or KPI 2.       |
| **KPI 1 (bar; left y-axis)**   | First key performance indicator, such as demand value, demand volume, or revenue. |
| **KPI 2 (line; right y-axis)** | Second key performance indicator, which can differ from KPI 1.                    |

This widget lets you select a KPI to summarize for the selected scenario over a period of time.
