# Committed Plan

> Understand key planning terms like Primary Scenario, Committed Plan, and Planning Adherence.

## Definitions

* In planning, you ultimately select one scenario as the **primary scenario** to execute.
* By concatenating all the non-overlapping initial periods of the primary scenarios from different plans, SIMCEL creates a **Committed Plan**.
* The Committed Plan signifies the events and actions the organization has decided to execute, based on evaluating their impact on key metrics such as revenue, cost, profit, service level, and working capital.
* By comparing the Committed Plan with historical performance, you can evaluate **planning adherence**, which measures how well the plan aligns with actual performance.
