Get started in five steps

Log in to your workspace
Navigate to your SIMCEL workspace URL and sign in using your organization credentials. SIMCEL uses single sign-on (SSO), so you can log in with your existing company account.Once signed in, you land on the Homepage, where you can see key metrics, projections, and fiscal year achievements at a glance.

Select a plan
Use the Plan bar at the top of the screen to select your active plan. SIMCEL supports two plan types:
- Budget plan — the long-range planning cycle
- Tactical plan — shorter-term operational planning for immediate adjustments

Choose your scenario
The Scenario bar displays your active scenarios. Each plan can hold multiple scenarios to compare different planning assumptions:
- Forecast Base — the auto-generated baseline forecast (read-only)
- Primary scenario — your main working scenario
- Custom scenarios — additional what-if scenarios you create

Explore your modules
Use the sidebar on the left to move between modules. The full map is in Navigating the interface below.

Apply filters
Use the Filter bar at the top to narrow your view by Products, Customers, and Date range. Filters apply across every chart and table on the current page.
Navigating the interface
The SIMCEL interface is organized into four main areas:- Sidebar (left) — module navigation
- Top bar — plan selection, scenario bar, filters, and user settings
- Content area (center) — charts, tables, and dashboards
- Events panel (right, collapsible) — event log and impact details

Some pages may not be visible depending on your workspace configuration and the modules enabled for your organization.
Top bar
The top bar provides contextual controls that apply to your current view:- Plan bar — displays the currently selected plan. Click to switch between Budget and Tactical plans.
- Scenario bar — shows active scenarios as colored chips. Click a chip to toggle its visibility in charts and tables. You can also create new scenarios from here.
- Filter bar — narrow your data by Products (name, brand, category, or type), Customers (name, channel, or region), and Date range.
- Currency switcher — change the display currency.
- Help — access in-app guidance and tours.
- User menu — switch organizations and manage your account.
Page-level controls
Most module pages include additional controls:- Period toggle — switch between Monthly (M) and Fiscal Year (FY) views
- UOM selector — choose the unit of measure
- Numeric scale — format numbers as Default, Billions (B), Millions (M), Thousands (k), or Units (U)
- Decimal places — adjust precision from 0 to 4 decimal places
- Refresh — reload the current data
